What we know: Maria and James possibly lived in Amana, Iowa.
It may also be possible that they lived for a short time
in Minneapolis, Kansas. James Cloud is buried in Castek
Cemetery, Amana, Iowa.
There are several other Cloud graves in the same cemetery
(most of them children) though it is
unknown what (if any) relation they are to Maria and James
Cloud:

As
reported on the news page descendants
of one of Elizabeth Maria Whitmore and James Riley Cloud's
daughters have been located! Below are the results of
my search and the new additions to our family genealogy.

This week I was fortunate to find
2 Cloud family histories that give a much clearer picture
of Maria and James Cloud's family. Unfortunately, from
what I can gather, there are no living descendents of
Maria and James. Here's what I found -
