When
I started building Web sites, there were no manuals or
classes. The Web was young and it was pretty much everyone
for themselves. Along the road I learned from others,
and taught myself. Each new challenge was fun and exciting.
What I like best about Web work is that there will never
be an end to the learning. There will always be something
new to try.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in
Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. I've spent

past few years working in the marketing and advertising
field, doing everything from designing and managing
Web sites to writing ad copy for magazines and newspapers.
I've
also developed some terrific working relationships
with specialists who collaborate with me on some
projects, significantly broadening the scope of
